Hi Team
My H&S Committees are collating 2021 Goals for the company. One idea was to have a Wellness Rep at all our branches. I have done some investigation and there is little to none around this or training provided.
My question is: Does anyone have one of these rep's in their business? if so what do they do? did they have training? where was the training and what did it entail?
thanks for your help on this.
EMA has numerous courses on the various topics that make up Workplace Wellness, but I would suggest that perhaps being a wellness rep is a hat that your HR person would wear? After all they deal with most other 'personal' issues for employees in a workplace? https://emalearning.co.nz/courses/
Our HSR's are also involved in promoting Wellbeing at their Sites. Information provided from the HR Wellbeing Advisor, and part of the HSR Monthly Update has a Section on Wellbeing. HSC Members and HSR's also provide initiatives that will suit their Site around Wellbeing. HR is more involved in the EAP/Clinical Supervision and Mental Health Courses etc. We also have a Monthly Wellness Calendar that helps the HSR's and HSC members to promote Wellness at their Sites. Some have had special Wellness Day's or Afternoon Events.
