Can anyone advise on storage of 2 stroke fuel. WorkSafe only talks about petrol.

Storage of petrol above 50l requires approval of the storage location.

We are replacing old leaking metal storage drums for 2 stroke fuel. Our teams all use 2 stroke and the container is filled daily to meet demand. We want to store the 2-stroke in reasonable quantities because then we can leave the fuel mixing to one person and cut down the risk that someone will mix 2stroke wrongly.

We have found a container that would be more convenient and safer for our guys dispensing 2 stroke. We like this container because has a hand pump for dispensing so the guys don’t have to lift a container to dispense into their 5l containers.

The container is a plastic portable container with 53L capacity..

Does the 50l limit for petrol apply to 2 stroke or are there other regs that apply?
If we use this container, is it the container capacity that determines needing a location certificate?
If we make it a condition of use that we don’t fill the container to more than 50litres can we use this container without needing a location certificate?
If we move to a smaller container size of 20L do we have to limit ourselves to 2 containers?
Will three portable containers of 20l each require us to have a location certificate?
