In the Forum guidelines we recommend people use first name + last name to clearly identify themselves when they join.

Why? Because anonymity is the curse of social media, as we see elsewhere.

We acknowledge some members may feel a little exposed if they were to use their full name. However if any first-name-only member would like to upgrade to two names, we are happy to assist! (Because only administrators can change a member’s name).

Just select @Admin and "Send a message" to make a private name change request.
