I'm pulling together some H&S training for our people leaders out on our sites.
Wondering if anyone had any recommendations/inks to short, 'non-cheezy', simple and high impact H&S videos that get the message across quickly of how important risk assessment is please?
Hi Leanne
This is a video that Todd Conklin often refers to, and it meets the brief of simple and high impact. I've used it numerous times. Alligator Attack of Kenny Cypress
Hopefully I haven't misunderstood the brief, but these two videos I have used in the past, the first to explain what a risk is vs a hazard and the second is one to tug on heart strings...i.e., what the potential impact on those we leave behind can be if we get it wrong at work.
Hi Leanne, these are videos I have used in training sorry they're aa bit cheesy, one is about situational blindness, and is from a bicycle training campaign - I can't find how to share it but it's called "this is an awareness test" on youtube
The other one, before playing it I have talked the hiearchy of controls, how can this activity be done safely, they could get off the bike and carry it across? build a bridge? then we talk about competency, is the person trained appropriately? and then PPE, being the least effective, I get them to identify all the different options, and then play the video.
