I'm looking for high level guidance on how to think about this situation.

I work for a luxury short term accomodation company. Many of the properties we manage have open front gas fire places. These are obviously a hazard that needs managing when guests have todlers with them.

The apartments also have heat pumps, so the fire is not the only source of heating. It's up to the guests to decide to use the fireplace and if so manage their kid(s) as needed.

Any guidance on thinking about where our duty in regards to their safety ends and their duty to manage their own kids safety begins?
