Just an update on my research: An investigation into mental health help-seeking behaviours among men within the New Zealand construction industry.
I have now finished collecting data for my study. I managed to collect data from 600 men, which will make for a solid analysis. My goal is to have a full report ready for the SafeGuard conference in 2020. I will also post a link on this forum for people to access the report.
I would like to thank everyone who promoted my study, and passed my survey onto their work colleagues. This is an area I’m very passionate about, and will look to specialise in. I am also training to be a clinical psychologist, with the goal of working with men.
So please, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, more than happy to pass on information.

Great topic - love your work. Just a question Andy as I too am passionate about Mental Heal and Wellbeing in Construction Industry.
Just wondered though - as I also worked in Australia we had a Helpline for our men who if they needed support on anything heathwise they called this number and they would be talking to a doctor. Just thought I would share this with you as maybe something you could endeavour to intiate.
